Mariënburg, where history meets hi tech
In 1897 the foundation stone was laid for the motherhouse of the JMJ sisters on the Sint Janssingel street. Two years later, JMJ had about 58 such houses in the country. Until 1999, the Mariënburg had a nursery school, domestic school, and industrial school. Today, the former monastery is still the breeding ground of education and a unique concept where business and science come together. We study, work, and live under one roof. In 2014, the first university in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the JADS, was founded. The campus has 77 furnished apartments and more than 3500m2 of office spaces for data-science-related companies.
